The U.S. Embassy, the Thai Ministry of Culture\u2019s Fine Arts Department and the World Monument Fund have partnered on a major restoration effort at Wat Chaiwattanaram, with the United States providing over $1 million under the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP). The project, one of the largest in the world for the U.S. Department of State, came in response to severe flooding at \u00a0the temple in 2011.
