{"id":3324,"date":"2017-02-01T06:42:35","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T06:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ifreedom.wwwss16.a2hosted.com\/travelthaiculture.com\/?p=3324"},"modified":"2017-02-01T06:42:35","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T06:42:35","slug":"tu-asean-expo-2017-from-asean-at-50th-towards-asean-4-0-and-in-remembrance-of-the-late-king-rama-ix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laofree.com\/?p=3324","title":{"rendered":"TU ASEAN Expo 2017 &#8211; from ASEAN at 50th towards ASEAN 4.0 and in remembrance of the late King Rama IX."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bangkok 30<sup>th<\/sup> January 2017- Thammasat University\u2019s Center for ASEAN Studies will organize <strong>\u201cTU ASEAN Expo 2017\u201d <\/strong>for the first time in Thailand during March 23-26, 2017 at Thammasat University, Tha prachan campus to mark the 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN and a transition towards ASEAN 4.0.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ifreedom.wwwss16.a2hosted.com\/travelthaiculture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/TU-ASEAN-EXPO-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3325\" src=\"http:\/\/ifreedom.wwwss16.a2hosted.com\/travelthaiculture.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/TU-ASEAN-EXPO-1-724x1024.jpg\" alt=\"TU ASEAN EXPO MAG AD\" width=\"724\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The event is also held to commemorate His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej\u2019s remarkable contribution to Thailand and Southeast Asian nations. The late King Rama IX paid state visits to strengthen relations with ASEAN countries even before establishment and provided a large number of his royal projects to better the livelihood of Thais and ASEAN citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Activities organized in tribute to the late King Bhumibol include <strong>\u201cKing of Kings\u201d<\/strong>, <strong>\u201cThe Father of Research and Development of Thai Rice\u201d<\/strong>, and <strong>\u201cPlaces our Father went\u201d<\/strong> exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>Thailand\u2019s foremost sand artist <em>Sompong Leerasiri<\/em> will also draw the late monarch&#8217;s portrait and narrate his royal duties in promoting relations with ASEAN member states during his <strong>\u201cSand Art for King\u201d<\/strong> showcase.<\/p>\n<p>At the event, Center for ASEAN Studies will organize a seminar entitled: <strong>\u201cTU-ASEAN Forum\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cTU-ASEAN International Conference 2017\u201d<\/strong>.
