Seventy-seven girls, from the 77 provinces of Thailand, competed for the title of the most beautiful woman in the kingdom last night but, truth be told, all eyes were on the girls’ flamboyant costumes inspired by the symbols of their provinces.
Despite all the stunning outfits, the crown went to Miss Songkhla, Supaporn “Fai” Malisorn, 22, who is a professional model.
Supaporn took home a THB1 million cash prize, a house, a car, and a scholarship to get a master’s and doctoral degree from Bangkok Thonburi University. because being pretty is just not enough.
Miss Grand Thailand contest has no runner-ups, but four other honorable mention awards went to Miss Ratchaburi, Miss Singburi, Miss Chonburi and Miss Petchburi, according to Thai News Agency.
