Student Union of Chiang Mai University has arranged the annual “CMU Trekking 2016”
up Doi Suthep for Saturday, September 10. The tradition which takes place every year is aimed at drawing the student body together and giving first year students a chance to make new friends.
The trek, which will start from Chiang Mai University will begin at 5am on September 10 as people set out walking up the mountain towards Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The event is planned to finish by 6pm the same day.

Locals are advised to avoid Huay Kaew Road as the road from the Phu Come intersection to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep will be partially closed.
