Chiang Mai organises the annual Chiang Mai Flower Festival to showcase its beautiful flowers and decorative plants which are in full bloom towards the end of the winter season in early February. Suan Buak Hat Park is transformed into an open-air exhibition centre.

The main events of the three-day from 3-5 February 2017  flower festival will take place at Nong Buak Haad Park . This includes an agricultural exhibition and fair, contest and exhibition of flower arrangement, decorative plants,

The highlight is a parade of  flower floats on Saturday 4th February. The parade starts from Nawarat bridge at about 8 a.m.. The parade will go along Thapae road, Kotchasarn road, Changlor road, Arak road and ends at Nong Buak Haad Park.
