The international conference series on façade design & engineering called Zak World of Façades is being organized by ZAK Exhibitions and Conferences in Thailand on 7th March, 2018 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Bangkok. The event attracts senior architects, developers, façade consultants, PMCs, main contactors, façade contractors along with key consultants, decision makers and industry influencers.
Zak World of Façades has attracted over 12,000 delegates across its 37 completed editions. The world’s largest conference series is currently being organised in 16 countries in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait & Saudi Arabia), South Asia (India & Sri Lanka), South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia & Malaysia), Africa (Kenya & South Africa), Greater China (Hong Kong), United Kingdom, Australia & United States of America.
Now in its 38th global edition, the one day conference will feature four main sessions endeavouring to discuss, debate and deliberate on the latest innovations, opportunities and challenges in the façade construction industry. Concurrent to the conference proceedings, the event will also showcase latest products and technological solutions on offer for the Thailand façade market.

Winyou Wanichsiriroj

Winyou is a committee and secretary of Thai Green Building Institute. He has written many architecture, construction material and green building articles, published in architecture and construction magazines. He regularly participates as a guest lecturer at many Universities in Thailand and has given lecture in many seminars not only on green design but also construction material. He has projects including BITEC International Convention and Exhibition Center (Extension), Kasikorn bank Headquarters, Ratburana Road, SCG Headquarters 3, Kasikorn bank Headquarters 1 & 2, Chaengwattana Road, BHIRAJ Office Tower, etc to his credit.
Jean-François began his career in Rome where he spent a year working with Massimiliano Fuksas, and a year with our Italian associate Alessandro Carbone. He moved to Paris in 2004 and joined AJN where thanks to his dual training as an architect and 3D graphic artist he joined the 3D production team. Jean-François now plays a leading role in Jean Nouvel’s office as a design partner, heading a studio mainly specialized in High Rise buildings and museums, both in France and abroad.
Scott Whittaker

As Group Creative Director of dwp, Scott leads the company’s design internationally for dwp. Educated in Australia with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Scott moved to Asia in1994, and, together with his business partners, transformed dwp from a local Thai-based company into an award-winning, pan-Asian design firm.Innovation, creativity and energy are the cornerstones of Scott’s success. His team that has amassed many accolades for diverse projects across sectors using 100{1e9df3ff221fec67f2b46c55bd82e9961ae187e1b606f79864c8b507548386d0} BIM technologies. Some notable highlights include such high rise projects across Asia and the Middle East including Bangkok’s most exclusive residential tower, 98 Wireless Road.
Jatuwat Varodompun, Ph.D LEED AP and TREES A-NC,EB is an expert in green building design and construction, particularly LEED and TREES systems. After becoming first LEED Accredited Professional of Thailand, he continues working in the field of green building consultancy and helping clients earn both LEED and TREES certificates in Thailand. He has helped more than 6 buildings to earn LEED Platinum, the highest certified level provided by USGBC, and helped more than 30 buildings to earn green building certificates. Currently, he founded the company called Smart Green Building Network which is the consultant of many Thailand leading organizations such as PTT, AIS, KBank, CPF, EGAT, MEA, PEA, TMB, TICON, etc, For the professional affiliation, he serves as the technical chairman and committee in TGBI (Thai Green Building Institute). Moreover, his major contribution is in the development of rating system for Thailand including both TREES-NC (New Construction) and TREES-EB (Existing Building).
Bernard Chang is a Principal at KPF and has been practicing architecture for more than 18 years throughout the world. His experience encompasses a wide range of building types, including office, retail, hotel and residential, institutional, and infrastructure and planning. Bernard currently resides in Hong Kong, where he supports various projects, operations and business development activities for KPF’s Asian practice.
An adept project manager, Bernard has coordinated the design process for many large-scale projects throughout China. He has been involved in Forum 66, a 10 million SF, mixed-use development in Shenyang, Ping An Finance Centre in Shenzhen, which will be one of the tallest buildings in China upon completion, and CTF Guangzhou, a 530-meter super high-rise tower.
More recently in China, Bernard has been working on Kerry QianHai commercial development, which features office towers, serviced apartments and retail podium. He has been involved in Spring City 66 in Kunming, which features office tower, residential tower and a retail podium, the Goldin Global Financial Center, a Grade A office building located in new CBD area of Hong Kong. In Beijing, Bernard worked on the Wang Fu Jing International Brand Center, which is a one million SF luxury retail and hotel development.
In Southeast Asia, Bernard has also involved in Rosewood Hotel and Singha Headquarters Building in Bangkok, and master plan projects in Cambodia.
Bernard has a diversity of professional architectural experience, contributing to his longstanding successes on the projects he undertakes. He is also an active member of the Hong Kong architectural community, teaching at the Arts School of Hong Kong Arts Centre and critiquing at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Architecture master’s program. Previously, he also served as the Vice President of AIA Hong Kong Chapter.
Isara was working as an architect for residential design, public building design for 7 years (2003-2009) and after finishing his Master Degree, he decided to join MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Company Limited ) for design management of Magnolia Finest Co, Ltd and from 2010 until now and has been working for 2 mixed-used projects namely Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard and ICONSIAM. Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard is a 60-storey mixed- use building (Residences, Hotel Waldorf Astoria Bangkok and Commercial Office). ICONSIAM has 1 luxury condominium, Magnolias Waterfront residences which is 70-storey and 1 Super luxury branded residences Mandarin Oriental Bangkok which is 52-storey.
Roger has more than a decade experience in Facades, specializing in the design of Stick Wall System, and Unitised Curtain Wall System, and other cladding and façade systems. He had worked with various prestigious Facade Contractors well known worldwide. With his solid and hands on experience not only in design, production, and also installation. He can determine how a façade system design should work properly and efficiently. He has extensive experience in the whole process of facade system, from concept design, to the fabrication and assembly of panels in the factory, and up to site installation. Summing all these, would be a good factor to give sound and proper advice regarding any type of building envelope for the benefit of the project.
